TOKYO, July 14, 1972 (UPI) Jane Fonda, who is on a visit to Hanoi, asked United States pilots to reconsider their participation in the Vietnam war in a broadcast over the Voice of Vietnam Radio, the North Vietnamese press agency said today.
The agency said the American actress visited a bombed village Wednesday.
âI implore you, I beg you to consider what you are doing,â Miss Fonda was quoted by the agency as saying on the radio. âIn the area where I went it was easy to see that there are no military targets, there is no important highway, there is no communication network.â
The agency quoted her as saying that she had visited the district of Namsach to see damage done to dikes there.
