Each year in Villeroy, France, on 3 September a memorial service is held in commemoration of the B-17 Flying Fortress HI-LO JACK which was shot down in 1943. They come together to remember and thank the men who sacrificed to free them from the tyranny of Nazi Germany. They thank us and we thank them for keeping alive the memory of these heroes.
Seven of the crew escaped with the help of the French underground.
